Weekend recap... on Friday during our College/Career bible study, Pastor Vince was our guest speaker. We discussed the upcoming changes in our church's future especially with a new building in the horizon. One thing that was impressed upon me was asking how we would react if someone "not like us" joins the group. As the church grows, the likelihood of that happening increases. How would the dynamics of our group change if say someone struggling with homosexuality comes in? Or what if it was a former alcoholic or drug addict? Would we retreat into our little cliques or would we reach out to them? Just a thought...

Saturday... Alanie and I went with Faye to a Muslim mosque as a field trip for Faye's Perspectives class. We had a little tour of the place and observed their prayer time. They don't see things the same way Christians do. They don't see Jesus as the Son of God nor do they believe in His resurrection. I'm not too sure, but from looking through some of the literature they gave, I had the impression that they believe Jesus wasn't even crucified or died in the first place. Something about God answering His prayer, "Take this cup away from me." Hmmm... interesting. Hopefully being there would help me understand their point of view and make it easier to share the Gospel with them. Still, it's very important to pray for God's discernment and protection. Without knowledge of the truth, I could totally see how one could be easily swayed just by being there.

Afterward, we had lunch at a Korean restaurant. Beef bulgogi... Yum! They need one of those places down at South Orange County. We then went back to Faye's house. Alanie went home. I hung out for a little bit and watched Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind with Faye and her parents. Weird and confusing at the beginning, but really cool for the most part. It seems to be one of those movies in which you notice more details with each successive time you watch it.

Sunday... Tickets for the children's Christmas musical, The "S" Files, started going on sale today. It's going to be on December 18 at the Woodbridge High School Theater. I'm debating whether I should post the first promo video on this site. Maybe I'll just save it for the DVD. So yeah, Eric and I are putting together a DVD of the musical. Pre-orders are now being accepted. In addition to the coverage of the performance, the DVD is also going to contain the promo videos, some behind the scenes footage of the practices, auditions, and so forth. Hopefully, it'll turn out great.
