First thing's first:
I told Jessica I'd put this picture up:
Crazy teenage girls with their pop idol crushes... Haha. Anyway, that's the Korean actor, Won Bin, in a scene from Taegukgi, a really good movie about two brothers during the Korean War. Unfortunately, it had a pretty limited showing over here a few months back. I think it was only at a couple of theaters in the area for a few weeks. Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if it gets nominated for Best Foreign Film during the Oscars.
Japanese Food - The Sequel:
I had Japanese food for the second time this week when Kevin Q., Marli, James, Mae, Lanie, Eric, Justine, and I had all you can eat sushi and stuff earlier today at O-Nami. Those of us (myself included) who got there when it opened ended up staying for the entirety of their 3 hour lunch period. Hey, we gotta get our money's worth. I don't remember the last time I felt that full. Good stuff!
Well, I thought eating sashimi during New Year's was a Hawaiian thing so I asked Kevin about it. He was the one who brought up the idea to meet there today. He's originally from Hawaii.
Me: Isn't eating sashimi in Hawaii a New Year's thing?
Kevin: Huh? No, I think it's an everyday thing.
Haha. So I guess for those of us who love raw fish, who needs a special occasion to eat it?
Things I realized this week that I should probably change next year: ^_^;
1. Windshield wipers - They're so worn down that it's really hard (and dangerous) to drive in the rain.
2. Tires - ditto
3. Bass guitar strings - I haven't changed them in three or four years. I guess I never noticed how bad they sounded.
Okay, so they weren't exactly New Year's resolutions. Happy New Year everyone!
