Hotmail okay (for now?):
So today, after at least four days, I was able to check my email again. Before that, all I would get were "Page cannot be displayed" messages or the occasional "Server too busy" screen. The strange thing was that checking another hotmail account using my same computer works just fine. It must have been a problem with the server my particular account was stored in.
Children's Christmas Musical:
Anyway, it was a pretty packed weekend. Saturday was the day of the Children's Christmas Musical. The kids performed The "S" Files over at the Woodbridge High School Theater. Most of the morning and afternoon before that evening was spent preparing and setting up the stage. All the children did such a great job thanks to Lanie, the director, and everyone that helped out.
Yes, the musical was filmed on video. There will be a DVD coming out sometime next year. Eric and I will be working on it. The plan is that it will also include some special features such as:
· Behind the scenes footage of the rehearsals
· Video promo trailers
· Whatever else we haven't thought of yet...
This is in addition to live coverage of the musical, of course. So make sure you order a copy if you haven't had a chance to pre-order before this past Saturday. Here are a couple of screenshots from the raw footage:
The funny thing was right before the musical started, a lot of parents were approaching me and reminding me to make sure I get their son or daughter on camera. I would joke around and say that I might allow the videocamera to linger a bit longer than necessary for something extra under the table. I'm pretty sure every kid had ample camera time, though. ^_^
