Yellowcard Music Video:
Mando told me that ifilm.com is having a contest to see who can make the best music video for the song "Breathing" by Yellowcard. One of his friends, Flaviu Mann, has an entry in the contest. I was looking through the names, and I recognized the name Philip Wang as one of the guys in UCSD's Wong Fu Productions. These videos were cool. There were a few others that were really good as well. However, there were some that sort of made me wonder a bit. O_o Anyway, it's too bad the deadline for entry submissions has already passed. I would have loved to see how I would fare. Oh, well. Maybe next time. Oh yeah, that song always reminds me of Burnout 3, a racing game for the PS2. Maybe because I first heard the song on the game's soundtrack. Yes, I realize that a lot of things I know about pop culture, I learned from video games or the internet (instead of from TV like most people.)

Broken Strap:
I also broke my guitar strap yesterday. The leather sort of just tore apart. Don't they ever perform any stress tests on these things? This happened right before the service started. Good thing Josh had an extra one at home that he had his family bring over. Now I have to buy a new one. I'm looking for quality this time. No more cheapo straps that rip in two.

Lunch with Amy and Manny:
Yay, Amy and Manny came down for the holidays. We met up for some lunch at Genkai, a Japanese restaurant in Irvine, the same place we ate at about a couple of years ago. (or is it three?) This was only the second time I had ever eaten there. They got me a Jelly Belly tin can (with jelly beans, of course.) ^_^ Good stuff, good stuff. Thanks, guys. When it was still wrapped, I thought that the bean-shaped can felt like a couple of cans of vienna sausages. Haha. Well, no Kevin this year. He's snowboarding down Italian slopes and viewing pieces of Persian walls in French museums. Anyway...
